Eastern White Pine

Early in spring, the Eastern White Pine trees have unique flowers.  I’ve gone back to the trees (luckily, in my yard) several times to catch their progress.

Blossoms Today

This is the first year I’ve found blossoms lingering so late!  Mother Nature seems to be having a good year.

A new lens, a Sigma 150-500, for my Nikon D5100; a new Monfrotto tripod with Opteka gimbal head to hold it, equals  a need for practice using the new equipment!

Swaying inn the Breeze

This first image came out much better than I expected.   The lot behind us used to be a cornfield, but recent owners have let it go and wild things are getting tall.  This day, the wind was blowing those tall, young trees and I was pleased at the sharpness.

Dead and Alive

Last, some branches of a dead tree stands in front of another tree full of lush leaves.

I’m quite pleased with the results so far, with these new tools!
