Spring Shines

After winter’s short days, long nights, springtime is  welcome with its return to longer and more sunny days.  Even the overcast days are bright with the promise of rain to bring on green grass and all the new growth of the season.

One of early spring’s familiar sights also involves lots of hints from family that it’s time for a pie — rhubarb.  These leaves are very shiny with the new growth.
