Cheery Cosmos

Surprise, surprise — this is the first time in three years that I’ve managed to grow cosmos from seed!  I’ve missed having them; they’re so perky and cheery; hummingbirds and butterflies seem to like them, too.

These photos were both taken this morning, before the sun moved to this side of the house.  Even without the sun on them, they are a beautiful sight to see!

Thisvariety is called “Sea Shell,” and I first purchased it accidentally.  I like the scalloped edges! This year, I ordered it on purpose.
