A new lens, a Sigma 150-500, for my Nikon D5100; a new Monfrotto tripod with Opteka gimbal head to hold it, equals  a need for practice using the new equipment!

Swaying inn the Breeze

This first image came out much better than I expected.   The lot behind us used to be a cornfield, but recent owners have let it go and wild things are getting tall.  This day, the wind was blowing those tall, young trees and I was pleased at the sharpness.

Last, some branches of a dead tree stands in front of another tree full of lush leaves.

I’m quite pleased with the results so far, with these new tools!
