A new lens, a Sigma 150-500, for my Nikon D5100; a new Monfrotto tripod with Opteka gimbal head to hold it, equals a need for practice using the new equipment!
This first image came out much better than I expected. The lot behind us used to be a cornfield, but recent owners have let it go and wild things are getting tall. This day, the wind was blowing those tall, young trees and I was pleased at the sharpness.
Above, an old tire on an old, homemade trailer. It peeks from behind a bush in the foreground.
Last, some branches of a dead tree stands in front of another tree full of lush leaves.
I’m quite pleased with the results so far, with these new tools!
