On Being Green

But green’s the color of Spring.
And green can be cool and friendly-like.
And green can be big like an ocean, or important like a mountain,
or tall like a tree.

There are no mountains locally (as in these lyrics), but many things are green this time of year!  Everywhere I look, there’s another shade of green.  I hope you enjoy some of my views around my yard.

  1. Hi,
Very nice photos, and I really liked the Queen Anne’s Lace, I have never seen that before, very nice. 🙂

    • I’m surprised you haven’t seen this plant before, Mags. I’ll share a picture or two of it when it opens. This photo today is just the bud stage. It will open up into a lace-like white blossom.

Maybe Queen Anne’s Lace doesn’t grow in other countries. It’s actually a weed here in the U.S.

      • I will be interested to see it in bloom, but it doesn’t look familiar to me, I don’t think it grows in the part of Australia that I live.

  2. Beautiful photos. Looks like a clean fresh place to live.

    • We’ve been lucky to have had quite a bit of rain this spring, which — as you can see — has made a lot of different shades of green everywhere you look!

  3. Beautiful blue sky and green leaves! This is the scenery I wish to look at in every morning after awake! So peaceful!
